“It’s nobody’s business and honestly, I’m glad I made that decision.”
Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade overthrew, which ended the constitutional right to abortion. After nearly 50 years, SCOTUS reversed the 1973 landmark decision and decided that it was now up to the states whether to ban their abortion or not. The immediate public reaction was overwhelming, with many outraged that women’s rights to their own bodies could be so easily stripped away.
While many took to the streets to protest against the repeal of constitutional law, others took a more personal approach, sharing memories of their own abortions. Some brave celebrities have even used their platform to open up about their own abortion stories, to be honest about what led to their decision. While it is unclear what the future holds in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling, it is safe to say that these celebs will always support a woman’s right to choose.
Here is what these celebrities shared about their abortions …

The medically necessary procedure helped their body to terminate the pregnancy completely – an option that may not be available to many people following the Roe v. Wade verdict no. Now that Halsey has become a mother, they say they are even more determined that people should have the right to abortion.
“One of my miscarriages required ‘aftercare’, a gentle way of saying I would need an abortion because my body could not terminate the pregnancy completely on its own and I would run the risk of going into sepsis without medical attention. during this procedure I cried.I was afraid of myself and I was helpless.I was desperate to end the pregnancy that threatened my life … My abortion saved my life and made room for my son “Every person deserves the right to choose when, if, and how they have this dangerous and life-changing experience,” Halsey wrote.
2. Lily Allen
While talking about the Roe v. Wade ruling spoke, Lily Allen told that she once had an abortion. Although she did not go into detail about the experience, she explained that at that point she just did not want a baby and did not believe that women should justify why they needed an abortion.
“I wish people would stop posting examples of exceptional reasons for abortions. Most people I know, myself included, just did not want a f — ing baby. AND THAT’S REASON ENOUGH! WE DON’T HAVE TO JUSTIFY IT “It does not have to be said and I think all these examples only play into the hands of the bad people,” Lily wrote.

“I was two weeks pregnant when I had an abortion. I remember rolling up to Planned Parenthood with pickpockets holding anti-abortion signs and it alone was traumatic. But on top of that, the whole process is traumatic and the fact that now, you’re making it illegal for our women to make this decision about our own bodies, is absolutely insane … It’s nobody’s business and honestly, I’m glad I made that decision.I’m not sorry, “There is no shame in that. The devastating truth is that we found out the fetus would not survive full term, and that my life too was in danger .. at the time – I had the choice.Everyone has their own story to seek out this medical procedure and I empathize with anyone who has faced this impossible decision.I pray for all of us that we through this challenging time can come and regain agency over our own bodies, ”Laura wrote.

Hilarie Burton shared that she had an abortion once after having a miscarriage and the medical procedure allowed her body to heal from the loss. “Having an abortion after my fetus died caused my uterus to heal in a way that made it healthy enough to carry on future pregnancies. It doesn’t matter if you use the term D&C. The official word on “the hospital paper is abortion. That’s what it was … Ry V Wade protected my rights as a woman to have miscarriages without being examined … I only had my daughter because of my abortion,” Hilarie wrote .

“I had an abortion when I was in my late teens. And my life would have become so dramatic … It was my right to choose, and how dare anyone take it away from me right away … We will have to go vote We are going to have to get judges who believe women have the right to vote, ”Jill said on her Instagram story.

“Marlon took me to the hospital. I had what they told me was a ‘disturbed pregnancy’. The doctor did nothing really to make me bleed. In other words, he did not do it right. “I did not know it then, but I could have died. What a mess. What a terrible mess.” Rita told Variety.
