David Harbour Weight Loss: ‘Stranger Things’ Star Lost 80 Pounds in 8 Months

Yes, you heard that right. The Strange things star has pulled everything to lose 80 pounds in a total of eight months for his role, Sheriff Jim Hopper, in the blockbuster series of Netflix. In the previous seasons of the show, David’s character Hopper was shown as a bulky guy, but things took a turn in the last season as he was seen looking really fit.

How did David lose 80 pounds?

To obtain the glow, David worked hard day and night. We all know you wonder how he lost weight so fast, let’s say there’s no magic to it, it was a hell of a process for him too.

Harbor has shed a large amount of weight by fasting and focusing more on his diet. In a media interaction, he said: “It’s not easy, it’s a lot not to eat when you lose so much weight, and to be hungry.”

What did David Harbor have to say about losing 80 pounds?

During an interaction with British GQ, Harbor wasted the beans on his weight loss journey and he said it was the last time he dieted for a role. He said: “I lost about 80 pounds. From season three – I was about 270 [then]and when we shot [season four] I was about 190. ”

David went on to say that he lost 80 pounds in eight months to reach his toned physique and he did many things to achieve that goal, including Pilates and intermittent fasting.

The American actor told the media outlet: “I do not think I will ever do it again. I have this Santa movie [Violent Night] comes out for Universal in December and I won [it all back]. But now, yes, never again. The prosthetics are too good. ”
