Justin Theroux Supports Ex Jennifer Aniston After She Reveals Fertility Struggles

Justin Theroux is here for his ex-wife and current best friend, Jennifer Aniston.

After the Friends actress shared a picture of her Allure cover image on Instagram following her tell-all interview with the magazine, Theroux left a comment of support: ‘👊 ❤️.’

His fist pump and heart emojis, while not very descriptive, came after Aniston – who he was married to from 2015 to 2018 – shared some big revelations about her life.

After decades of scrutiny for not starting a family, Aniston told the magazine that she did try to have children but couldn’t. ‘I tried to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,’ she said in an interview with Allure. ‘All the years and years and years of speculation… it was really hard. I went through IVF, drank Chinese tea, you name it. I threw everything at it. I would have given anything if someone had told me, “Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.” You just don’t think so. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.’

She added that it was very difficult to be criticized and seen as ‘selfish’ for not having children, without people even knowing what she was going through. People thought, ‘I only care about my career,'” she said. ‘And God forbid that a woman should be successful and not have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we separated and ended our marriage was because I wouldn’t give him a child. These were absolute lies. I have nothing to hide at this point.’

That time between her late 30s and early 40s was possibly the hardest of her life, Aniston said, as she “went through a lot of hard shit.” But despite it all, she has “zero regrets” and feels better today, at 53, than she ever did in her 20s, 30s and 40s.

Aniston also addressed her two marriages (and divorces), saying she’s still close to Theroux, and while she’s not interested in remarrying, she’s open to love. ‘I would love to have a relationship. Who knows? There are moments when I just want to curl up in a ball and say, “I need support.” It would be great to come home and fall into someone’s arms and say, “It’s been a hard day,” she said.
