The ’Eat the Rich’ project is selling ice cream made to look like rich celebs

If you’ve always wanted to “taste” the 1%, you’re in luck: a pop-up ice cream truck operated by the Brooklyn art collective MSCHF sells popsicles that look exactly like the most famous billionaires in the world.

The project, aptly named “Eat the Rich,” is being held today until 6 p.m., near Columbus Circle. It will move to McCarren Park in Brooklyn tomorrow and Wednesday to Washington Square Park. You will find the ice cream truck at each location on the designated days between 11:00 and 18:00.

There are a total of five fragrances to choose from, each costing you the (deliberately) high price of $ 10. The options are Munch Musk (an ode to Tesla founder), Bite Bezos (in honor of Amazon guru Jeff Bezos), Gobble Gates (after Bill Gates), Snack on Jack (call to Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma) and Suck Zuck (a play on Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg’s name).

The names of the goodies are not the only playful aspects of the, well, very playful project: each ice cream’s packaging mocks the billionaires’ various businesses. The packaging for the popsicle that looks like Zuckerberg, for example, is surrounded by thumbs-down signs.

Even the made-up brand name of the desserts is a parody: Mschfsicle, the collective’s version of “popsicle.”

Does the hilarious delicacy also happen to be some of the best ice cream in New York? You will have to try for yourself.
