Truliant launches web series with Popcorn Finance’s Chris Browning | Business

WINSTON-SALEM – Truliant Federal Credit Union sponsors a new personal finance web series, “Money Burst,” with Popcorn Finance podcast host Chris Browning.

The web series contains short videos with tips and hacks to make money management easier. The goal is to reach consumers by providing easily digestible information in an entertaining way – mainly in their social media feed. In the series, Browning speaks directly to the audience and provides knowledge and quick assumptions about how viewers can get their personal finances in order.

“Our mission is to improve lives and one way we do that is through education,” said Chris Murray, chief experience officer at Truliant. “We realized that in today’s digital world, which is always going on, we had to find new ways to provide education. Making Money Burst appear in social media feeds on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Linkedin is how we do it. ”

New episodes are broadcast weekly and more than 20 episodes are available. Each is about 90 seconds long and focuses on a single idea. Recent episodes include topics including:

• Do I have to invest my emergency fund?

• How do I build an emergency fund?

Advantages and disadvantages of the debt snowball method.

• Try a “no spending” day.

• The best times to use a credit card.

Browning has been working in finance for over 11 years and provides personal financial advice for over five years. He started Popcorn Finance in 2017, and more than one million episodes have been downloaded.

“I know what it’s like to struggle with debt and try to make ends meet every month,” Browning said. “The pressure to achieve so many financial goals can be overwhelming and cause many of us to ignore our financial situation. It feels like there is just so much to know.

“It is my goal to be a trusted voice to break down the financial world and help you steer clear of the pitfalls and in the life you want for yourself and your family. Money does not have to be complicated and with Money Burst you get straightforward and easy-to-understand financial information. ”
