Forty-seven-year-old Lucy James tried “every type” of diet before finding one that worked for her and lost a whopping 4th 7lb (30kg) in 12 months. And she has not looked back since, having changed not only her appearance but also her mindset and well-being completely.
Lucy explained, “After years of trying to go every type of diet, then finally stopping trying, it’s finally clicked that slowly and consistently wins the race.”
She started working with PT Diren Kartal and joined his Project X campaign and saw an average loss of £ 1.2 a week.
Lucy was “so shy” about her in front of photos, and wanted to be “transparent” with her success.

After neglecting her body for so long, Lucy said, “I had a lifetime of bad habits to change and whenever I lost weight before, drastically reduced calories and felt hungry and miserable, it did not make me habits do not change in healthier long-term. “
But she admitted her journey was “definitely not easy”.
“Learning new habits and reversing lifelong bad ones, an unhealthy relationship with food, no knowledge that came with resistance training, trying to force my heavy body to do hard cardio exercises while it was definitely not up to par. for the job as I thought it would. would help me shift weight, just meant I was constantly struggling to make progress, ”Lucy explained.
“There was a point a few months ago where things got a little static and I thought I had reached a plateau again with another attempt to lose weight.”

She thought she might be at the end of her journey, adding: “The reality was that I did not try as hard as I could, or applied the program properly.
“I became complacent, so I refocused and by paying attention to the principles of Project X started to progress again.
“It’s a great program, but you have to do the work, it’s not magic. It’s so worth it, though.”
She continued: ‘Some weeks [I lost] more, some weeks no loss.
